Russell Moore

Russell Moore

Russell Moore serves as the eighth president of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, the moral and public policy agency of the nation’s largest Protestant denomination.

A widely-sought cultural commentator, Dr. Moore has been recognized by a number of influential organizations. The Wall Street Journal has called him “vigorous, cheerful, and fiercely articulate” while The Gospel Coalition has referred to him “one of the most astute ethicists in contemporary evangelicalism.”

An ethicist and theologian by background, Dr. Moore is also an ordained Southern Baptist minister and the author of several books including Onward: Engaging the Culture Without Losing the Gospel. He blogs frequently at his website, russellmoore.com, and hosts a program called Signposts.

A native Mississippian, he and his wife Maria are the parents of five sons.

Jared Wilson is the director of content strategy and managing editor of For The Church (ftc.co) at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. He is the author of numerous books, including The Prodigal ChurchThe Pastor’s Justification, and Unparalleled: How Christianity’s Uniqueness Makes it Compelling. Jared also blogs at The Gospel Coalition. He lives north of Kansas City with his wife Becky and two daughters.

Jim Shaddix

Jim Shaddix

Jim Shaddix (BS, Jacksonville State University; M.Div., D.Min., Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary; Ph.D., New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary) serves as Professor of Preaching at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC, occupying the W. A. Criswell Chair of Expository Preaching. He also serves as Coordinator of Southeastern’s EQUIP Network, which partners with churches and other ministry organizations to provide practical theological education through mentored internships and field-based instruction. Jim has pastored churches in Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana and Colorado, and also served as Dean of the Chapel and Professor of Preaching at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, LA. He is the author of The Passion Driven Sermon (Broadman & Holman, 2003) and co-author of Power in the Pulpit with Jerry Vines (Moody, 1999, 2017) and Progress in the Pulpit (Moody, 2017). Jim and his wife, Debra, focus much of their attention on discipling and mentoring young leaders and spouses. They have three grown children and four grandchildren.

Keith Warden

Keith Warden

Keith Warden is the senior pastor of First Baptist Church, Picayune, Mississippi. He is married to Kristi and they have three children, Bryce, Brady, and Brooke. He is a graduate of Samford University (B.M.), Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and Beeson Divinity School (D.Min.). Keith has also served churches in Alabama, Georgia, and Texas.

Micah Carter

Micah Carter

Micah Carter is the pastor of First Baptist Church, Ripley, Mississippi. He is married to Meredith and they have two sons, Benjamin and Jonathan. Micah is a graduate of Blue Mountain College (B.A.) and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div., Ph.D.). Before coming back to Mississippi, he served churches in Kentucky and Tennessee, and most recently served at LifeWay Christian Resources in Nashville as the translation revision coordinator for newly released Christian Standard Bible. Micah also co-hosts a podcast at Gospel Reign.

Greg Belser

Greg Belser is the senior pastor of Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton, Mississippi. He is married to Susan and they have three daughters. He is a graduate of Corpus Christi State University (B.B.A.) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div; D.Min.). He has also served churches in Texas and Alabama. Greg serves as President of the 2017 Mississippi Baptist Pastors’ Conference.
